At Velia Select we take the protection of your personal data very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process and protect your information, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable national data protection legislation.

2. What data do we collect?

We process the data you provide when placing an order, creating an account, subscribing to our newsletter or contacting us: first name and surname, postal address, email, phone number, payment details (securely handled by the payment gateway) and information about your orders.

3. For what purpose and on what legal basis?

  • To manage your orders, shipments, invoicing and returns. Legal basis: performance of the sales contract.
  • To respond to your enquiries and requests. Legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in assisting you.
  • To send you commercial communications (newsletter, offers), only if you have given us your consent. You may withdraw it at any time.
  • To comply with our legal obligations (accounting, tax). Legal basis: legal obligation.

4. How long do we keep your data?

We will keep your data for as long as the business relationship lasts and, thereafter, for the periods required by law (for example, tax and accounting periods). Data used to send commercial communications will be kept until you withdraw your consent.

5. Who do we share your data with?

We do not share your data with third parties, except with the providers necessary to deliver the service to you, who act as data processors: the store platform (Shopify), the payment gateways, and the transport and logistics companies responsible for delivering your order. All of them process the data in accordance with current regulations.

Likewise, when you give your consent to analytical and advertising cookies, we use third-party tools that may process data about your browsing and your interactions with the store for measurement and advertising purposes. Specifically: Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram pixel and Conversions API) and TikTok (TikTok pixel and Events API), as well as other social networks and analytics or advertising platforms that we may add in the future. These tools are only activated if you have accepted the corresponding cookies, and you can withdraw your consent at any time from the cookie settings.

Some of these providers (for example, Google, Meta or TikTok) may process or store data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases, international transfers are covered by adequacy decisions of the European Commission or by the standard contractual clauses and other safeguards provided for in the GDPR.

6. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability at any time by writing to ventas@veliaselect.com, stating the right you wish to exercise and enclosing a copy of your identity document. If you believe we have not handled your request correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in your country of residence (for example, in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission, www.dataprotection.ie).

We apply the technical and organisational measures necessary to guarantee the security of your data and prevent its alteration, loss, unauthorised processing or access.
